DAIKON – BEYAZ TURP
Daikon radish is most often grown for its root, though the green tops are just as edible and versatile. The root of the Daikon radish is cylindrical with a white skin similar to that of a carrot or turnip. The pale tuber can grow up to twenty inches in length with a diameter of 4 inches. The flavor of the Daikon root is like a less-fiery radish; mild and tangy with a crisp and juicy texture.

Damson plums are a small variety approximately the size of a large cherry. They have thick, dark blue, bloomy skins that are rich in acrid tasting tannins. The interior has a low flesh to seed ratio, with a somewhat dry texture. The greenish-gold tinted, translucent pulp is tart and more fibrous than conventional plums found in typical grocery stores. Clearly not meant for a raw snack, these plums cook down into a rich and silky jam with hints of spice and bramble berries.

DRAGON FRUIT – PİTAYA
Dragon fruit grows on climbing cacti with stems that reach up to 6 meters long. The fruits are oval to oblong in shape, weighing about 8-12 ounces and averaging 10-15 centimeters in length. They have a pink or magenta peel with green scale-like leaves, and white flesh that is dotted with tiny edible black seeds, similar to a kiwi. The juicy, spongy yet dense pulp offers a subtle sweet flavor with notes of berry, pear, kiwi, and watermelon, sometimes with just a hint of sourness.
