Hayvan İngilizce Şiirler

The Penguin that Couldn’t Fly

I saw a penguin.
He walked right by.
He had a tear in his eye.
I heard him cry and softly sigh,
Oh I wish I could fly.

The House Cat

The house cat sits
And smiles and sings.
He knows a lot
Of secret things.

Dogs

The dogs I know
Have many shapes.
For some are big and tall,
And some are long,

And some are thin,
And some are fat and small.
And some are little bits of fluff
And have no shape at all.

At The Zoo

First I saw the white bear, then I saw the black;
Then I saw the camel with a hump upon his back;
Then I saw the grey wolf, with mutton in his maw;
Then I saw the wombat waddle in the straw;
Then I saw the elephant a-waving of his trunk;
Then I saw the monkeys-mercy, how unpleasantly they-smelt!

The Sheep

“Lazy sheep, pray tell me why
In the pleasant fields you lie,
Eating grass, and daisies white,
From the morning till the night?

Everything can something do,
But what kind of use are you?”
“Nay, my little master, nay,
Do not serve me so, I pray;

Don’t you see the wool that grows
On my back, to make you clothes?
Cold, and very cold, you’d be
If you had not wool from me.

True, it seems a pleasant thing,
To nip the daisies in the spring;
But many chilly nights I pass
On the cold and dewy grass,

Or pick a scanty dinner, where
All the common’s brown and bare.
Then the farmer comes at last,
When the merry spring is past,

And cuts my woolly coat away,
To warm you in the winter’s day:
Little master, this is why
In the pleasant fields I lie.”

The Vulture

The Vulture eats between his meals
And that’s the reason why
He very, very rarely feels
As well as you and I.
His eye is dull, his head is bald,
His neck is growing thinner.
Oh! what a lesson for us all
To only eat at dinner!

LOVE PETS

have them i don’t regret
i love to get
set them on my desks
i confess
I LOVE PETS

The Unicorn and the Lion

‘The Lion and the Unicorn were fighting for the crown:
The Lion beat the Unicorn all round the town.
Some gave them white bread, some gave them brown;
Some gave them plum-cake and drummed them out of town.’

One Little Hummingbird

I put out the feeder
You come by to feed
You are a dear friend
One that I truly need

I love how you fly right up
Without any care
And the way you get so close
My face can feel your air

People who see it are amazed
They say that I’ve found Zen
As the Hummingbird gets even closer
And seems to kiss my chin

Know you are a special friend
One I truly love
And like our pets you truly are
A gift from God above

The Crocodile

How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shinning tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!

How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws!

The Squirrel

Whisky Frisky,
Hippity hop,
Up he goes
To the tree top!

Whirly, twirly,
Round and round
Down he scampers
To the ground.

Furly, curly,
What a tail!
Tall as a feather
Broad as a sail

Experiment to me
Is every one I meet.
If it contain a kernel?
The figure of a nut

Presents upon a tree,
Equally plausibly;
But meat within is requisite,
To squirrels and to me.
